Sparky and the DaVinci Code

So it's getting late, but I'm trying to keep a habit of writing.

Well, tonight the film version of "The DaVinci Code" will debut in theatres and I'll probably be there. There has been so much controversy from the Christian camp about this book and film. Christians are arguing that there is confusion between fact and fiction. I think it's a horrible envy that they have not written or created something as great or better. I've been trying to listen to the Christian radio stations while I'm driving around for work, but I have to admit, it is very difficult. It just feels so robotic and out of touch with the world it's trying to reach. There are millions of lost people out there and somehow there is a crisis because someone wrote a fictional story.

On a lighter note, I've been hanging out after work the last week with my new pal Sparky. I was walking through the pet store the other day and this tiny little mouse was running around in the display. So long story short, I took him home with a cage and tons of other pet supplies. He's been good so far, very energetic, somehow he manages to run on his wheel sometimes 10 or more hours at a time. When I come home he hops into my hand and crawls all over. We'll see how we fare.

Time for bed. I'll write some more this weekend.
