640 Miles To Go

So in about 5 minutes, I'll be hitting the road to Indy for the first of two listening events for my new album. I decided since I was trying to ressurect the idea of a concept album (the kind you listen from beginning to end) I should spend the dozen or so hours on the road rediscovering some favorite albums and listening to some recommended discs. While I'm on the road I'll post what I'm listening to when (thanks to modern cell phone technology) so the handful of you who are interested can keep track.

Anyway, if you're in the midwest region, hope to see you Saturday!

Another blog from above the clouds.

Wow this has been an insane week on the road (and air)! Between gigs
in Delaware, Philly, Nashville and Houston in a 6 day window, I'm just
ready to be home for a couple days. Nashville was nice and I did get
to bump into a few friends, I never got leave the Opryland Resort
area. Houston was a new one for me and I didn't love it, but I also
didn't spend more than two days out there. Now, I'm in the air on my
way to Philly from Houston then home. It will be nice to take a day
or two and waste some time on PS3 and get back to rock climbing.

The artwork was approved on Wednesday for the album and is on the
production line as we speak. I'll probably have actual product in my
hands within a couple weeks and the official release date is March 11,
2008 (exactly three years since the recording of Live From LaDue
Auditorium) but for you midwesterners and east coasters something
better is set. On March 1st at 6pm in Greentown, IN and March 8th at
6pm in Woodstown, NJ there will be pre-release listening parties where
I'll be debuting the new album in its entirety and telling the story
behind the album as well as having the album for sale before it hits
the public. Stay tuned here for specific details.

And now, back to the in-flight movie.
