From The Artists:
Every day it’s the same thing: wake up, get put together enough to walk out the door and then get in your car, catch a train, carpool or even flight to your job or class, the “real world” your high school guidance counselors warned you about. You start up your iPod or radio and spend those next moments preparing yourself for the day ahead. On the other side of those headphones or speakers, there is a world of feeling, emotion, humor or just a great groove. Who is that on the other side? If you’re listening to one of the eight artists on “The Commuter Tour” then it’s someone just like you. Most likely, we’re driving to work or sitting on a train with our playlists rolling too. We take a long weekend every now and then to gig in a city near you or use precious vacation time touring instead of going to the beach…all for the love of music and bringing that music to music lovers like you. We make a daily commute. You make a daily commute. We love making music. You love music.
About “The Commuter Tour”:
“The Commuter Tour” is a group of friends and artists that want to make that commute to you. In period of music where glitz and marketing overstimulate your senses 24-7, the artists on this tour want you to slow down, take it easy and listen. There is an entire world of great indie music beyond these eight, but it’s a heck of a start. Listen to Roxie Randle and discover Sabrina. Rediscover Jan Krist after listening to JoelGragg’s latest projects. Who is Joel Rakes? Check out Jenny & Tyler and you won’t believe you’ve gone this long without knowing. There is an entire universe of incredible music out there the commercial world has yet to touch and “The Commuter Tour” is at the starting line. Get to know everyone. What is the story behind Rod Kim’s “A Work In Progress”. Has Kevin Masch ever been to Kansas? Kevin Reeves has a story for you behind his epic track “Shine”. Why was Kelly Condron arrested while on tour? Is Sarah Jahn working on any new material?
Not everyone tours together all of the time, although the occasional “homecoming” show is a warm welcome. More than likely, a few will cross paths while on tour and play a gig or a couple artists will pack up a car and tour in short runs. Artists play lots of gigs with other indie and major talent as well or maybe an artist will just play a gig alone. Who tours with who? Just check out the descriptions on the tour dates to find out who’s playing where and when with who. You’ll see us anywhere from small house shows to local venues like “The Abbey” in Indianapolis to hot spots like “The World Café Live” in Philadelphia. Anything is possible.
What is “The Commuter Tour”? It’s a way of life and you’re already a part of it.
If you like anything you hear, support indie music and purchase a CD or digital track…it’s how we can take an extra few vacation days to gig in a city near you!
We love new friends, please drop us a note.

-Skott Freedman(Indie-Music.com)
“Joel Gragg is a talented songwriter with a great sense of melody, married seamlessly to the lyric. His songs rise in an open and honest way from a heart full of questions and hope.” -Jan Krist
“Roxie’s got a rootsy style that is the perfect compliment to her writing skills…layering what is already a trip deep into hearts and souls.” -Mark Wehner(Americana Tonight!)
