Listen To Kevin’s Current Playlist
When did you first start songwriting?
I wrote my first song when I was 17-years-old, two weeks after I got my first guitar.
Do you have any formal training in music?
I don’t have any formal training in music, besides half a semester in college for music…that’s why I don’t know anything…haha.
What are your goals?
One major goal is to make music more than just a hobby.
What are your favorite albums?
Bob Dylan – Times Are A-Changin’, Robert Johnson – The Complete Recordings, Dave Matthews Band – Crash, Johnny Cash – Live From Folsom Prison, James Taylor – Sweet Baby James, Patty Griffin – Impossible Dream, Jimi Hendrix – Band Of Gypsies
What album would your friends be surprised you own?
Nelly – Country Grammar
Do you have any rituals before you perform?
I don’t really have any rituals…not yet at least.
What is your most embarrassing moment?
Once, when I finished a great show, a “friend” depantsed me on stage.
What has been your most exciting moment so far?
When I was in college, I got to open for Steven Delopoulos of Burlap To Cashmere.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
Secretly, I’m a huge science nerd.
Do you have any lucky charms?
My lucky charm is more of a concept than a charm – forgetting something. When I go on a trip or on tour, if I forget something, I know it’ll be a great trip. It’s when I remember everything that I know things will go wrong…hahaha…
One last thought?
Please be kind…rewind.
